Toll Plazas are to be removed in one year, Toll to be collected via GPS:UNION MINISTER NITIN GADKARI.

Road Transport and Highways minister NITHIN GADKARI said that all electronic FASTag Toll Plazas are removed within in a year and tolls are collected via GPS. Minister proposed this in today's Lok Sabha meeting.

                        

                                

All electronic FASTag Toll Plazas are replaced by GPS based toll collection from next year.

acc to Minister, 93% of vehicles are using FASTag to pay Tolls. FASTags are implemented by NHAI(NATIONAL HIGHWAY AUTHORITY OF INDIA) on FEB-15 this year.

                                   

From now we need not to stop at toll plazas anymore, You will have to pay only for the distance you travelled.

All Toll Booths are removed and replaced with GPS TECNOLOGY. The toll will be collected based on GPS imaging(on vehicles).

From February 16, Vehicles without FASTag have to pay double the toll fee at Electronic Toll plazas. It will reduce the waiting time , fuel consumption in some best way.
